Interns

...are amazing. Trying to launch a magazine by researching other publications' content and advertisers would be so much easier with help.

Well, duh. That's why it's called help.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining or anything. I love doing this. But I do feel interns are important at publications because frankly, when I interned at Decibel Magazine and Electronic Ink, I really didn't feel needed at all. Now, I know better.

Note to self: Interns really help out with the research and promotion. Don't take them for granted and treat them right. And try to pay them. After I can pay myself and the contributors, of course.

In a more or less recent discussion with my best friend, Shane, we discovered why we can't blog when we're not traveling. And the answer we came up with: our lives are boring. I mean, what do we do when we're not cavorting all over Europe? We go to work, come home, hang out. And that's it.

But now, hopefully life won't be so boring. Shane and I are collaborating on a new project. And it's going to be big, daring. World-changing, even.

Or maybe it's just a webzine bringing a new light to horror fiction and horror writers. A webzine that publishes well-written horror stories with strong character development mixed with compelling story that looks beyond big-breasted women being chased through the woods by a masked man wielding a chainsaw. A webzine for young, aspiring short story writers to publish their work and find tips on how to better their writing.

For all two (or maybe even less) of you readers out there, sorry I've been neglecting my blog.

So here are some photos from the Philadelphia Flower Show.
